THE IMPOSSIBLE THINGS

When all appears lost
And the fight never ends
Or the pain
And you're past the point
Of human strength
When sleep evades
And it hurts to be human
The world's distractions offer no comfort
Because nothing on earth
Can fix it
As time passes
The years speed by quickly
But the hard days linger slowly
As you try your best
To hurry up and wait
You breathe
You pray
And start over again
Seeking
Striving
But you cannot fix it
And this child
This child, whom you love
Is not ok
Tortured by hidden things
No one can see
Yes, love, sacrifice
And even anger
Rise up in you
But you cannot control
The choices of others
You turn to God
Who holds today
And all the yesterdays
In His hand
Crying out:
Heal Broken bodies
Tormented minds
Crushed spirits
Banish Evil
Greed
Blindness
Hate and Apathy
Open my eyes
To see my own depravity
And Your unlimited capacity
To do the impossible things

"Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
(Psalm 73:25-26)

"For since the beginning of the world
men have not heard nor perceived by the ear,
Nor has the eye seen any God besides You,
Who acts for the one who waits for Him."

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
