NOW THAT IS OUR GOD!!!
When Lacey went to adopt our son, Storm, he had to stay 2 weeks in Armenia. Anyone who has been through international adoption knows that there is an unbelievable amount of red tape and unexpected decisions.
i was set to speak at church during our Passion services. My cell phone rang right before the service. We were 11 hours apart. Lacey told me that he would be coming home without the baby. He would have to give me details later.
In speaking about Christ's death and the disciples' disappointment and dismay, now i was also wrestling with my own. This child we would name Storm that we "knew" for 5 months would not be coming home to us. In the midst of it all i remembered
1Cor.2:9: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
i shared the Scripture at the end of my talk and told them about our son. Lacey returned a month later and brought him home to us.
Truly we cannot see God's plans. Many of us stare at our own empty tomb. i know that i have several very giant ones right now.
Jesus knows my pain. Only Jesus knows yours.
But do hold onto God's promise in 1Cor.2:9 -that it has not even entered your heart - the amazing things that God has planned for you.
Right now as Jesus guides me to walk away from one tomb and pray over another, i am certain that His plans are coming into fruition.
And as i have said for years and years in my talks - God offers plan A and i (or another or a circumstance out of my control) have sometimes chosen plan Z. But when i give God plan Z - He makes it BETTER than plan A.
NOW THAT IS OUR GOD!!!
