Hi.

I hope this blog encourages you and opens your mind to live freer than you ever though you could be.

GRIEF

GRIEF

GRIEF. i fight grief.

Grief that so many people, especially young people, are rejecting Jesus/The Truth for satanic lies – worshipping: world peace, themselves, money, nature, material things, fame, and more gods than i can name.

Grief that our own children are not currently following Jesus.

Grief over what is happening to our country through lies, deceit, the love of money and the lust for power and more and more control.

Grief concerning those suffering greatly with Covid. Grief over all the “cover-ups” concerning Covid. And for the families who have lost loved ones to this evil virus…

Grief over having chronic pain for 4 decades now and the ALL the things i cannot do, people i no longer see because of all the places i cannot go…

Concerning grief - there is a time, even a season to grieve but God doesn’t want us to permanently abide/live in grief. Living in grief can open the door to a spirit of self-pity. Emphasis on SELF.

God wants us to cling to Him always, but especially during grief. We can pour out our hearts to Him and to trusted Christian friends – who will pray with us, lead us back to The Word and speak Truth into our lives.

When we find ourselves slipping into grief, it’s important to notice what we are thinking about.

Paul wrote his letter to the Church in Philippi while in prison. Yet the letter is about the joy of following Jesus as well as the secret to being content in any situation.

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate/think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

And when we think on pure and lovely things – good reports – praises and more – we become grateful! And start to praise God!

We lift our heads to heaven, our real home, and get our eyes off earth!

Praise God for the Apostle Paul who sets the example that we can have the joy of the Lord amid acute troubles in our bodies, souls and spirits.

For the joy of the Lord is our strength!  And we need strength in this present day.
